We are pleased to provide the following information about Commencement 2011.  The commencement ceremony will be held outside in Carlson Stadium at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, May 22.

Ticket Information

The ceremony is a ticketed event. Each graduate is allowed up to six tickets.

• On-campus graduates may pick up their tickets at the "Grad Finale", March 29 & 30, in the Dahl Centennial Union lobby.
• Caps and gowns may also be picked up at the "Grad Finale". You may have your friends pick up your cap and gown and tickets. If you are unable to attend, caps and gowns will also be available finals week in the Luther Book Shop.
• Mid-semester graduates, student teachers, and Rochester nursing students will have their tickets mailed directly to them.
• Tickets for study-abroad students will be sent to their parents.

Physically challenged ticketed guests are invited to sit on the Dahl Centennial Union terrace or on the Carlson Stadium track. Those with a hearing impairment should contact the Campus Programming Office in advance to request the services of a certified signer and secure special seating.

Guests without tickets will find closed-circuit television viewing in the Center for Faith and Life main hall, Helen Farwell Lounge (Farwell Hall), and Marty’s (Dahl Centennial Union).

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Regents Center. Call (563) 387-1732 after 7 a.m. Sunday, May 22, for weather-related announcements. Should the ceremony be moved to the Regents Center, four tickets will be valid per graduate; other attendees are invited to view the ceremony via large-screen, closed-circuit television in the Center for Faith and Life.
