Spring 2013
Class of 1996
Right now I can see three contented cats. Each is sleeping, stretched out and happy on its perch. I've always loved the moment when an animal trusts you enough to sleep as you walk around, or type, or do laundry (all things on my to-do list today). Trust is hard, yet these loves unabashedly trust me again and again. What a gift. Many of you have this kind of trust with your children and your spouses. What a gift. I think when I give financial gifts to Luther, I am putting forth that kind of trust too. I trust that when I am giving, the money will go to supporting the dreams of students to come, and even though I may not visit the campus (we're always welcome!), and I may not even keep up with what is going on (check out luther.edu) there, I trust good things are going on. Give to Luther. Trust that something good will happen for someone else, just like it happened to us. ~Ami

Don't forget your Annual Fund giving!
Each year nearly 9,000 alumni, parents, and friends support the Annual Fund with gifts from $5 to $50,000. Strong support from alumni helps Luther secure additional funds from foundations and corporations, and your gift each year helps us reach our goal of 27% alumni giving. Here’s how your class—and surrounding classes—did in 2012:
Class of 1995 total giving in 2012: $23,874 from 22% of the class
Class of 1996 total giving in 2012: $33,115 from 17% of the class
Class of 1997 total giving in 2012: $21,196 from 17% of the class
Your gift can boost the impact your class has on current students! Please use the enclosed envelope or visit www.givenow.luther.edu to show your support. Thank you!
WITH SINCERE GRATITUDE:
This list includes all gifts received January 1, 2012, to December 31, 2012. Making a gift each and every year is an investment in the lives of Luther students and a show of support for the Luther College community. Thank you for your support of Luther College through your giving.
