Dear Classmate,
Our last letter ended with wishes for a great summer, but now frost is covering much of the country and winter is knocking at the door—time flies. We read an article recently with an explanation of why time seems to go faster as we become, um, more youth-challenged. The author claims time passes more quickly because we aren’t experiencing things for the first time—like living in a dorm, engaging in challenging discussion with a professor, getting out of trouble with the RA, etc. So the key seems to be getting out and doing something new.
