Dear 1956 Classmates:

Greetings to all of you whether you are enjoying pleasant days in the Sunbelt or looking forward to the arrival of spring in the Snowbelt.

I want to share some good news with you concerning our class support for LUTHER.  For the first seven months of this fiscal year (May – December 2009), the class participation rate for contributing to All Funds was 33 percent compared to 30 percent for the same period in 2008.  And over the same period this year the participation rate for giving to the Annual Fund was 31 percent compared to 29 percent in 2008.  So, a round of applause to each of you for continuing your support of LUTHER and also for increasing your support.  It is heartwarming to me as well as classmates and those who work at our Alma Mater to see such loyalty.  Once again I remind you, too, that it is not the size of the gift but that we give which is important.  For those of you who have not yet made a gift this year, please do so before the end of this May when the current fiscal year ends.  You may send your gift in an envelope or give online at givenow.luther.edu.  And, thank you to all.  Read more...
