Homecoming 2016, 10-Year Reunion

Class of 2006 Fall 2016 Letter

Fall 2016

Greetings, Classmates!

It was absolutely wonderful to see so many of you Homecoming weekend for our 10-year reunion. We had more than 175 folks at our Saturday night event, and it was so fun to run into and catch up with so many of you around town before and after the event, whether it was at one of the new breweries in town or just walking down Water Street. Seriously, if you haven’t been to Decorah in a long time, it’s just as wonderful as it was when we were there (don’t worry, I made sure to drop by the old standards like Mabe’s, Whippy Dip, Magpie, and Ruby’s–all still delicious!), but there are so many new things to check out, new restaurants, and other exciting changes! Even the campus looks different–buildings have gotten much-needed renovations and expansions, making sure current and future students have the best possible Luther experience. At one point in a campus parking lot, one of the Decorah eagles soared not far over our heads…what a moment to be a part of, and definitely not something you can expect on most college campuses.
