Autumn is late in coming this year here in southern New England. Most of the leaves have turned brilliant red, gold, or orange, but there are a few that are still green. Has it already been a year since we last gathered to celebrate the years that have piled up since our graduation from Luther College in 1972? The return of another beautiful autumn got me thinking about last year in Decorah. What is it that keeps us coming back to Luther’s reunions every five years to spend a few precious hours with long ago classmates?
