Dear Friends of ’71,
I’m beginning this spring letter in the middle of January with a heavy heart. Yesterday, January 16, the life of our good friend and classmate, Tom (Willy) Williams, was celebrated at his funeral near where he grew up and lived in Antioch, Illinois. A few of us from the class of ’71 were there to mourn and celebrate with his wife, Mary, and family. I wish my friend was still here to tell stories and play golf with me. And so it goes with many of us as we part with family members and friends, and we relish the time we have left in relationships and conversations with those still here. Here’s the link to his obituary on the Congdon Funeral Home website for those interested: http://www.congdonfuneralhome.com/tribute/details/1833/Thomas_Everett_Williams/obituary.html#tribute-start.
