Dear 1955 Classmates,
I am writing this letter in late February from southern Arizona, where the temperature today under a partly cloudy sky is a balmy mid-70s. Temperatures down here have been five to ten degrees above normal in January and February. I just checked the weather back home and found out it was another sub-zero day at -12 at noon. Minneapolis is barely above zero, and Decorah recently dealt with yet another day of rain, sleet, and snow. Pity the poor folks in the East and South. It has been an unusual winter all over, to say the least.
