Summer 2014 

Dear Classmate: 

The past months have changed my life as my wife Olive died on April 8, just two days before her 99th birthday. After being married 72 years and 10 months, it is quite an adjustment. The more pleasant thing that happened is that I spoke with my Luther roommate, Jack Layton, on two occasions. We hadn’t conversed for years and it was nice to catch up on our activities and illnesses. Jack is unable to travel to Decorah so will miss our upcoming 75th anniversary.
