U.S. News and World Report lists "Six careers to watch in 2012." Tig Gilliam, CEO of staffing and recruiting firm Adecco Group North America states that highly specialized professions, particularly in the healthcare, information techology and finance industries, should provide a wide-range of employment opportunities in the years to come. According to the Labor Department's findings, six careers that should provide plenty of job openings in 2012 and the years to come include Accountant, Registered Nurse, Computer Systems Analyst, Social Worker, Dental Hygienist and Sales Manager and Representative.
The Labor Department projects that more than 279,000 accounting positions will become available between 2008 and 2018 with the demand for this position highest in April. Looking at the Registered Nurse career, an estimated 582,000 nursing jobs will need to be filled between 2008 and 2018. One reason that the demand is so high for this position is because of the profession's large number of specializations. These specializations vary in work setting, medical treatment type, particular diseases and organs. With never ending advancement in technology, it is not a surprise to see Computer Systems Analyst on the top list of careers for 2012. There should be as many as 108,000 computer systems analyst job openings between 2008 and 2018. Job outlooks for Social Work, Dental Hygienist, and Sales Representative are predicted to grow in the years to come. For additional information about these careers visit the following link.
