Funding for Summer 2018 Internships

Luther College is excited to offer internship funding to students to help them pursue educational/vocational internships for the Summer of 2018. This includes internships with for-profit and non-profit organizations. Any first-year, sophomore, or junior currently enrolled at Luther may apply for summer internship funding of up to 2,000 dollars. Since our funding is limited, the application process is competitive. Our goal is to fund as many internships as possible with the resources we have available.

Because some our funding sources have special criteria attached to them, we are most able to fund opportunities that have at least one of the following criteria:

  • An organization whose work supports environmental sustainability and/or social justice.
  • An internship sponsored by or directly involving Luther alumni
  • Internships related to religious organizations
  • Internships related to business

The priority deadline for completed application packets is 5 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018. Applications should be turned in at the Career Center.   Incomplete applications will be sent back to the applicant.  You can turn in applications after the priority deadline. Late applications will be considered if funding is still available after the initial internship applications have been considered.

We also have limited funding, up to 1,000 dollars for opportunities sponsored by our J-term alumni internship program.

More detailed application information can found at the following links. Students should start the process by carefully reading the Internship Funding Application Instructions.
