2014 Christmas at Luther

Christmas at Luther December 4 - 7

As part of the Christmas at Luther festivities, the Luther Book Shop will host two book signings on Saturday, December 6. From 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. author David Weiss and illustrator Joan Hernandez Lindeman will sign copies of their award winning children's book, "When God Was a Little Girl." From 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Bradley Hanson will sign copies of "Spirituality and Your Life Story." Both events are free of charge and open to the public.

A Josten class ring representative will be in the Dahl Centennial Union Lobby Fri., Dec 5 from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Sat., Dec. 6 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Sun., Dec. 7 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. She will be offering $20 off 10K, $20 off 14K and $80 off 18K rings and pendants.

For shopping convenience the Book Shop will be open Thursday, December 4 from 8:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m., Friday, December 5 from 8:45 a.m. - 9:30 p.m., Saturday, December 6 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 7 from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

2014 Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest

Luther students - Make plans now to participate in the fifth annual "Ugly Christmas Sweater" contest. All you have to do is come to the Book Shop before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 9 and have a photo taken of you in your favorite sweater. Then, on Wednesday, December 10, voting by these photographs, will take place for the best overall sweaters. Book signings - Inaugural Symposium - October 10

The Book Shop will have copies of books authored by participants for the Inaugural Symposium for sale both in the Book Shop and before and after the symposium held in the Jenson Noble Recital Hall. Those authors included are: President Paula J. Carlson, Dr. Jacqueline Bussie, Dr. Peter Hawkins, Rev. Jim Honig and Dr. Robert D. Schultz.

Book Signing - Thursday, October 2

The Luther Book Shop welcomes authors Virginia Gibbs and Luz Maria Hernandez for a book signing on Thursday, October 2. The event will take place in the Book Shop from noon - 2:15 p.m. Please join us and visit with the authors as they discuss their book, Shattered Dreams: The story of a historic ICE raid in the words of the detainees. A book signing will also be held following their 7 p.m lecture in Olin Building, room 102.

Storybook Reading 2014

The Luther Book Shop and Luther education students hosted the fifth annual Storybook Reading on Saturday, September 20. Held as a part of Family Weekend activities, children of all ages enjoyed listening to Kaley Grosse and Laurie Adrian as they read from favorite storybooks.

Douglas Hartmann Book Signing February 20
