Dr. Jim Eckblad

Dr. Jim Eckblad retired from teaching at the end of May, 2007. He taught Principles of Biology, Aquatic Biology, Biostatistics, Principles of Evolution, among other subjects during his tenure in the Biology Department. His research interests are population ecology of stream benthos and modeling of biological systems.

No majors changes... (i.e. homeostasis)

  • still pondering the mysteries of life on the Mississippi River
  • continue to ride a motorcycle (around Decorah)
  • enjoy periodic travels with other retired biologists
