Health Sciences Club is an organization for students interested in the field of health sciences.  We strive to provide valuable information for all healthcare professions including:

  • dentistry
  • medical doctor
  • optometry
  • physician assistant
  • physical therapy
  • podiatry
  • occupational therapy
  • veterinary medicine
  • and more

The goal of the club is to successfully guide and inform students throughout their healthcare career selection process through professional panels and workshops on the application processes.

Past meetings have included useful tips for preparing for pre-professional programs, including hands-on experience from seniors accepted into programs of interest, mock interviews, question/answer sessions with practicing professionals, visits to pre-professional programs, information about application guidelines, and liquid nitrogen ice cream night.

Active members must attend 7 meetings throughout the school year and pay yearly $2.00 dues.

If I already know what healthcare career I want to go into, should I still join HSC?

Yes, We provide useful information about admission requirements for pre-professional programs, tips for interviewing, and discuss early application procedure.  Also, healthcare professionals of any type interact with other professionals throughout their careers.  The more exposure you have to other facets of healthcare, the better informed and more successful you will be pursuing your career.

I don't know what sort of healthcare career I want to pursue.  Should I still join HSC?

Yes, We bring in a number of speakers each year from a variety of healthcare careers to expose students to multiple career options within the field.
