The fiber arts program at Luther has its genesis in the Norwegian weaving tradition, students therefore investigate both traditional and contemporary fiber techniques and concepts. This merging of traditional and experimental investigation is also at the core of the papermaking and book arts programs where students use alternative materials and techniques to create work.
