Anthropology Day 2017

On February 16, Luther's anthropology program celebrated Anthropology Day as part of the national awareness campaign promoted by the American Anthropological Association. We hosted numerous activities and events around campus to engage Luther's students, faculty, and staff.

Students in Dr. Anita Carrasco's Anthropology Theory class were stationed over in the Student Union with artifacts, games, their favorite Anthropology inspired quotes - and prizes!

Anthropology faculty, majors and minors shared their thoughts on "Why I love Anthropology" for the Anthropology Lab Facebook page. Answers were fun, inspiring, and reflect the variety of ways Anthropology is a meaningful discipline of study.

The Anthropology Lab hosted an Open House and encouraged everyone on campus to stop by and see a few collection items brought out just for the event.

Preus Library prepared a special display of interesting Anthropology books and information on different careers an anthropology student might explore.
