Every year, Luther students participate in internships from the local area of Decorah, Iowa, to Washington, D.C., to California to Colorado. Whether they are working in the government, corporate, or non-profit sectors, rest assured that they are obtaining experience that will play a critical role as they continue to refine their post-graduation plans. Alumni can play a key role in the lives of students by providing opportunities for students to intern in any number of fields.
Students intern for a number of reasons; 1) to confirm and clarify their career goals, 2) to gain practical work experience, and 3) to develop industry contacts for the future. Possessing all of these benefits will give our students "an edge" in their life after Luther!
Internships can occur at anytime during the year (summers, breaks, semesters, J-term) depending on the time the student and the person or organization has available for the internship.
If you have an internship opportunity at your place of work that might be valuable to a Luther student, please contact the Career Center at 563-387-1025, or let us know by completing the AlumniLEADS web form today.
