Jay Byers, CEO, Greater Des Moines Partnership"Capital Crossroads: Vision Plan for Greater Des Moines & Central Iowa"

Jay Byers is CEO for the Greater Des Moines Partnership. Together with 20 Affiliate Chambers of Commerce and 4,700 business members which employ a workforce of more than 150,000, the Partnership works to grow opportunity, create jobs, and promote the best place to build a business, a career and a future. One of the Partnership's most recent projects, Capital Crossroads, provides a clear vision and plan for Iowa’s capital region by building on the region’s strengths and providing a road map to capitalize on opportunities. The focus is on ideas and energy to ensure regional growth and prosperity for current and future generations. 

Byers currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Iowa Chamber Alliance, on the Executive Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE), World Chamber Federation Board of Governors, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100. He also is active with the Professional Developers of Iowa and Iowa Association of Business and Industry. He is a Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) and a graduate of ACCE’s Ford Foundation Regionalism and Sustainable Development Fellowship. Byers was named to the ACCE 2009 “40 Under 40 Rising Stars of the Chamber World,” to the Des Moines Business Record’s “Forty Under 40” Class of 2006, and the Business Record’s “Forty Under 40” Alum of the Year in 2012.

The schedule includes a buffet lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
