Rick Torgerson became Luther’s ninth president in July 1999, and he and Judy Torgerson have served the college with boundless energy and grace.  After 14 years of dedicated leadership, they will step down from their positions at Luther in Summer 2013.  The Torgersons look forward to exploring new callings, including spending more time with five terrific grandchildren! 

The Torgersons have a deep affection for Luther students and they are known for their tireless attendance at performances and athletic events.  It is fitting, therefore, that one of their final Luther experiences will be to accompany the Luther College Concert Band on its overseas tour.  Rick and Judy look forward to enjoying this time with students, alumni, parents and friends, enjoying great music amid the stunning beauty of Iceland and Norway.
