January Term: A Luther Experience

Experience January term at Luther College. This unique one-month semester allows students the opportunity to focus in on one course of study, explore internship and research experiences, study abroad, or any number of other options all during the month of January.
This visit opportunity allows prospective students the opportunity to experience January term at Luther College. January term is a semester unlike any other, as it alters the pace of the academic year by creating opportunities for students to engage in focused exploration of a single subject. January study is often experiential and/or experimental, and it offers students both greater freedom and greater responsibility for their learning.
Students may arrive on Sunday to take part in activities such as snowshoeing, hiking, basketball, racquetball, scooter hockey, card and board games, or socializing while watching the NFL playoffs.
Monday's activities will take each student through a virtual four-year January Term experience. With different options representing each of a student's four years at Luther, the day will give everyone a great look at this unique semester.
