As graduation approaches the big question for seniors is: What are you going to do after graduation? Some people go to graduate school, medical school, or volunteer. No matter which path you choose, most people have a clear sense of what they are going to do following graduation.

 I have had this question asked to me countless times throughout the school year and the more I get asked about it, the more I realize that I am not completely sure of what it is I am EXACTLY doing after graduation.  

Currently I have a great opportunity planned for me in Pennsylvania for after graduation. But the more I think about it the more I am questioning my move out there. It is about 20 hours away from home in a city that is completely unfamiliar to me. I won’t have a support system of friends and family nearby and I will be forced to create an entire new one.

On one hand this situation seems like it could be a really unique and eye opening experience. It would give me the opportunity to create new friendships, meet new people, and experience a part of the country that I have not experienced yet. On the other hand, the idea of moving so far away a month after graduation scares me completely. I am worried that I won’t know what to do when the toilet breaks, or if my car breaks down, or how to cook for myself (all things that I have had the luxury of not worrying about while in college or living at home)

Thus, I have been looking at employment options that are a little closer to home. At the end of the day I am not sure what I am going to do. I have an interview this week for a job that is closer to home, and I am hoping that I can land it. I want to just compare my options and see if being closer to home after I first graduate is something that I really want. Nothing is set in stone, but if I do land this other job I have a lot of soul searching to do.
