Still Thankful For Not Having Turkey

For many, Thanksgiving is about going back to their homes and spend this meaningful celebration with their loved ones. I've actually only got to know about Thanksgiving last year when I first celebrated it. For me, my Thanksgivings have always been about meeting new people (families, to be more specific) that I eventually grow to love, so it is special in that sense for me.

Four Jobs?!

Yes, I am working four jobs on campus and it is not impossible nor it is a burden. In fact, having a variety of jobs gives me the chance to learn more about people and develop the skills I will need for the future.

Last weekend, I had to privilege to take a weekend off in Washington D.C.! My scholarships program celebrated the 500th Reformation and I was invited to celebrate the meaningful event with them.

Celebrating Diversity with the Diversity Center

The Diversity Center in Luther College is a place for everyone. Many times we tend to think that it is only a place for international students, but it is more than that. You can find many organizations under the Diversity Center such as Pride, Interfaith etc. Most importantly, the Diversity Center at Luther College organizes events that serve as platforms for students of Luther to learn more about other students' background and identity as well as opportunities to connect through the events.
