Happy December, everybody!
I hope you’re having a marvelous day! Things are going well here at Luther. I saw Christmas at Luther yesterday, and it was a FANTASTIC show, as usual. I am always amazed at how incredibly talented Luther people are.
Speaking of Christmas at Luther, Luther really does go all out for Christmas. One of my favorite examples of this is the enormous number of decorated Christmas trees around campus. I have counted fifteen so far, and I know I haven't seen them all! That’s why, for today’s post, I will be featuring some of my favorite campus Christmas trees and awarding them with titles befitting their awesome.
So, without further ado, here are Luther’s 2015 Best Trees:
(1) Tallest Tree
Located outdoors, between the Union and Brandt Hall
(2) Tiniest Tree
Located in the Recreational Services Office in the Union
(3) Most Aromatic
A real tree, pine smells and all, on the first floor of the Union
(4) Best Tree Skirt
With a tree skirt composed of many live poinsettias, located in the CFL lobby
(5) Most Homey
This tree in Sampson-Hoffland Laboratories is so cozy, and it's the most similar to the one my family put up at home after Thanksgiving.
(6) Most Acute Angle
This tree in the CFL is seriously pointy.
(7) Most Creative
Preus Library made its own tree this year – out of books! How cool is that?
The tree on the second floor of the Union, the tree in the Diversity Center, the tree outside of Farwell, the tree in the Student Activities Office, the tree outside the Union with the LED lights, and the other trees in the CFL are also BEAUTIFUL and receive honorable mention! I just didn’t get pictures of all of them….
I hope you enjoyed seeing some my favorite trees at Luther this year! They have definitely put me in a festive mood! I love that Luther celebrates Christmas in so many ways!
I hope you are having a happy Yuletide season as well! And now, I’m off to see a Christmas a cappella concert with friends, so I will figuratively see you later!
