I thought it would be so much fun to only have 12 hours of class per week rather than being in school for seven hours a day, wondering what in the world a person could do with all of that free time. Dance at Luther

In high school, when I showed up to dance rehearsal I was guided through stretching and technique, and then was taught choreography which I repeated, memorized, and performed. At Luther, I show up to rehearsal and am given an idea to work with. There is so much autonomy and room for self-expression and creativity in the movement process at Luther, which I find to be equally liberating and frustrating.
