Every time I walk around campus I am astounded by the beauty all around me. I am lucky and thankful that I get to call such a beautiful place home. Now that it is fall the leaves are changing, making this already gorgeous place even more beautiful. When I walk to dinner I pass a tree that is three different colors. I find it incredibly unique and breathtaking. As the seasons have begun to change so has the amount of work this semester.
This past week was midterms, and I have not had the opportunity to do much besides, eat, go to class, study, sleep, repeat. It has been a little bit stressful, but luckily only three of my classes had midterms. I studied more for these exams than I have studied for anything else ever before. I’m crossing my fingers that I didn’t do too bad on my exams. On top of studying for exams I had to keep up with extra homework and projects for all my other classes. Walking through campus surrounded by so much beauty helped me to relax and take my mind off of all the things I had to do.
Midterms are all over and it is now the last day of fall break. Most people were able to go home over fall break, but since I live so far away and it is a short break it didn’t make sense for me to go home. I had campus all to myself which was nice. I didn’t do anything too exciting. Mostly I stayed in my room watching netflix and relaxing. I enjoyed the alone time I got. I was also productive and organized my room as well as did all of my laundry. Overall it was a nice break and I got some much needed alone time, but, I am ready for everyone to be back on campus and for classes to get started again. It was weird being here over break because sometimes when I walked to the caf for lunch or dinner I did not see a single person, normally on my way to eat I pass many people and they all are really friendly.
My favorite part of being on campus during fall break was seeing the fall colors around campus. I took a walk and just soaked in all the beauty around me. The leaves are starting to fall now, so I have to enjoy all the fall colors while they last!
