Mixed Performing Arts

J-Term ended rather smoothly for me, with a fantastic Opera Scenes performance with a group of very fun individuals. I took the week off to go home and take some much needed relaxing time over J-break, and find myself refreshed and ready to go for this semester!

My classes are looking about the same as last semester, with Music Theory, Ear Training, Paino, Paideia, and Voice Lessons, however now I find myself substituting Acting for Acting Shakespeare! Along with working in time to practice and lift, I have now decided to join Luther's MMA club, where we learn various types of martial arts. So far we've learned basic punches and today we worked on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (which is so much fun!). I'm excited for everything else this class will teach me as time goes on!

Unfortunately I am not partaking in a show this semester, but I will still be working in the scene shop and contributing in that way. The seating took us the entire J-break to finish, as we are doing arena style seating since the play is supposed to be an experiment. So many four foot platforms were required that I never want to see another flat again!

As always, if you have any questions I would love to answer them in my next post, so feel free to leave something! It's always nice to know that I'm not talking to empty web~

Sing Well,
