I typically I pride myself on the amount of money I save by ordering my books online and not at the bookstore. But this week I was taught a hard lesson, buying cheaper is not always better. For my Biochemistry class I was required to get a textbook along with an online access code. When I ordered the book online I assumed that the book would be accompanied by the necessary access code, but it wasn't. So today I had to go into the bookstore and buy the exact same book that was sitting in my room, but this time I knew the access code would be in the book. So, to make a long winded story short, I should have just spent to extra money to get the textbook at the bookstore and not online. Now I have to send back my original textbook and hope I get fully refunded, I'm a little nervous about that. Even though I have learned my lesson I would like to point out that I saved almost $50 by renting a book online rather than in the bookstore, so my online shopping days are not over, I will just be must smarter about it.
