If you've been reading my blog for awhile, it won't come as a surprise that I'm a huge fan of eating. I think there's something really therapeutic about being in the kitchen. I love how you can start with raw ingredients and turn them into something completely different. I love how in a short amount of time you can start and complete a project. Most of all, I love having something delicious to show for your work.
Needless to say, I really miss having a kitchen.
Luckily, the dorm that I'm living in has a beautiful kitchen and lounge area on the basement level, and about once a month a group of us make dinner, just as something fun to do as a big group before we all head our separate ways for the rest of the evening. Last night, our cooking extravaganza was brinner (breakfast for dinner = brinner).
A bunch of us made chocolate chip waffles, cinnamon rolls, scrambled eggs with veggies and cheese, and my absolute favorite baked oatmeal. (You can find the recipe here, from one of the many food blogs that I follow).
It was definitely a fun and tasty way to spend a Saturday evening!
