It seems like at the start of every semester there is a week where every single student has 45 exams.
Okay, so maybe that's a bit of hyperbole, but that is what last week felt like to me. I had an exam on Friday, another on Monday, and two on Tuesday. Tuesday also marked my 21st birthday, so after turning in my final test that afternoon I swore off of the library for the rest of the week and spent the night with friends.
I'd be lying to say that I didn't start celebrating until after my exams: I woke up to friends singing happy birthday (one minute before my alarm went off) and a room decorated in streamers with hand-drawn posters flooding the entire door. My mom graciously sent cupcakes that my friends and I shared during lunch, and dinner was spent at La Rana followed by wine and dessert at Albert's.
I also was able to spend part of my weekend with one of my closest friends and her family (which essentially feels like my own family). It was nice to spend time with her and her family - including the newest little member!
The best news of all, however, is that I don't have any exams for the next two weeks. And after spending an entire week in the library (and entire week avoiding the library), that sounds pretty darn good - it leaves me with extra time to spend with my new friends, who are incredibly sweet and caring and that have already become such close friends in such a short amount of time!
