Because it’s been a while since my last blog, all of you religious readers are probably wondering what has been going on in my life. Well for the most part it has included school work and complaining about the weather, which is getting warmer by the day. Although those activities dominate my day to day life I have begun a new adventure in my life. A few weeks ago I was asked to be a part of the Luther College Dance Marathon executive board! For those of you who don’t know what Dance Marathon (DM) is, here a brief summary. DM basically a huge 12 hour dance party. Dancers (the people involved) go out and raise money before the event to donate to Children’s Miracle Network, more specifically the University of Iowa’s Children’s Hospital. DM is a huge organization that benefits 170 children’s hospitals around the country. If you would like more information either hang tight because I will be blogging a lot about this great organization, or look for the Luther College Dance Marathon page on the Luther website, it should be arriving soon. Also, like Luther College Dance Marathon on Facebook and follow it on Twitter! position on the executive board is Recruitment and Morale co-chair. My position entails getting dancers signed up and excited about the event and then keeping all of them energized throughout the event. I am so excited and blessed to be a part of this awesome group. Look for more updates on the best thing since sliced bread… LCDM! It’s FOR THE KIDS!
