It's the time of year when everyone seems to be in planning mode: seniors are planning out their lives after Luther, and everyone else is preparing for the upcoming year. Classes for fall semester need to be picked out, new housing locations determined, J-term trips need to be applied for, and most excitingly, summer plans need to be made!
I personally love the planning stage: I love list-making, organizing, playing with ideas, and brainstorming about my future. I'm already searching Urban Outfitters and Etsy for dorm decorations for my room next year (that I don't even have yet!) I feel like the planning stage gets me excited for the things that are going to happen.
I have a schedule planned out for next semester (see attached picture), and I am praying that it works! I applied for J-term trips next semester, and am interested to see if those will work out, but I am trying not to get my hopes up about it, because I know I still have plenty of time to study abroad. This summer, I will be returning to my old waitressing job, and I am toying with becoming a certified yoga instructor! It's something I really want to do, but I'm not sure if I want to spend my whole summer studying, either.
Planning for the future is making me anxious to finish this semester - it gets harder and harder to concentrate as we have fewer and fewer days left of the school year. But, I still have a little over a month of this semester left - something that I was excited about when I planned for it last fall!
