The moment I woke up on Sunday, 17 February, 2013, I was excited because I was going to meet my future teammates.
I am very efficient at night, especially with my homework. However, last weekend I had to finish homework during the day so that I could have a great time with the prospective students. At 4:00p.m. I went to the pool to do my every Sunday aqua running. After taking a quick shower, at 4:45p.M. I met with some of prospective students. I tried to wash the chlorine off my body but failed. I hope they will forgive me for meeting them with such an odor.
From 4:45p.m. to 6:00p.m. I was with the future Norsemen, and I rejoined them again at 8:30p.m. for ice cream. We chatted as we waited for the coaches to give us permission to make the ice cream disappear. Surprisingly, it seemed like the current Norsemen were very impatient with the coaches, as I could see them moving closer and closer to the ice cream. To add insult to the injury, we had to wait a couple of seconds more as we sang happy birthday to one of our teammates. I didn’t know that my teammates could sing a wonderful happy birthday song when there were buckets of ice cream in front of them. Now I know how to have a good choir singing happy birthday for me.
I met a lot of great Norsemen to be that evening. I actually forgot that some of them were not yet Norsemen at some point in time. I hope to see most of them, if not all in the fall. They really made my evening awe-inspiring.
