Last semester at Luther!

Seniors at Luther have officially started their last semester. It’s a fact that I’ve been attempting to ignore, but it’s everywhere. Whether it’s my friends talking about graduation or talking with my Senior Paper Advisor about my future plans, there is no escaping the fact that in a few months my time at Luther will be coming to a close. So this means that I have limited time to do all of the things that I want to do while I’m still a Luther student. The clock is ticking.

This semester is going to be hectic, but exciting as well. I really feel like my schedule this semester is setting me up for leaving with a bang. I am taking classes this semester that I’m already enjoying with professors that love what they’re teaching. THIS is the real Luther experience and I’m going to really miss it after graduation.

As a senior psychology major, I’m taking Intro to Counseling, Social Psychology with lab, and my senior paper. This left me with room for a class of my choosing. I’m filling this with a Communication Studies class called the Rhetoric of Everyday Life with a professor who I’ve been told is excellent, and so far his reputation is spot on. It’s going to be an amazing semester!

Also, after the stress of rushing to find a senior paper advisor and topic, I’m happy to say that everything is up and rolling. I have an advisor, a topic and a schedule to go by! I know what I’ll be doing over the next few months and it’s such a relief. I also now know that the topic I’ll be researching is going to be very interesting. I can already tell that I’m going to enjoy working on my senior paper!

Besides the school aspect of my Luther life, I’ve also been busy attending events on campus. One that I recently attended was Matt Moberg, an acoustic musician, who along with his wife put on a fun performance in Marty’s on campus. They were an adorable duo that had such a stage presence that you couldn’t help but love them. Not to mention they were incredibly talented. I also went to the Nordic Choir Homecoming Concert. Part of being a Luther student is knowing that Nordic Choir is something that Luther is well known for and rightfully so. Nordic Choir always puts on an amazing performance and the concert was no exception.

This semester is off to a great start! It’s going to be hectic, but I know that it will be worth it!

Cheers ladies and gents :)
