So last night I had my first Organic Chemistry test, which was the final “first test” of the semester. O Chem has a reputation of being a very difficult class, so because of this I studied my butt off. For the entire weekend all I basically did was study. O Chem tests are not held during our normal class period, they are at night. And after the test was over I went back to my room and did nothing, for a long time! Even though I had other scholastic things to do, I lounged around and hung out. After all the time put into the test I just needed a break. This is what I call the “posttest lazies.” I know I usually have them but last night was the most unproductive I had ever been. I am not saying that this syndrome is a bad thing, because it isn’t. In fact, I think that after sitting in a desk for 90 minutes we deserve to sit on a futon and talk about unimportant things for hours on end. So for anyone who just took a hard test, its okay to sit down and procrastinate a little bit… you deserve it.
