Spring Fever

Hey guys! Another week that flew by. It feels like each week keeps going faster and faster. I can’t believe that there are only 4 weeks left after this one. Freshman year has flown by, but I am already looking forward to next year with some new classes and living in different dorms.

We got our room draw cards last week so that means everyone is looking for someone to room with. I know some people that are sticking with the same roommate that they had freshman year, but most are switching to room with one of their good friends (whether that’s a good idea or not, I guess I’ll find out next year!) Sophomores have the option of living in the towers called Miller and Dieseth. Each dorm has 8 floors and every room is a double room. The thing that I like most about the towers is that they are connected by a study lounge, so even if your friends live in the opposite tower, it’s just a short walk away from them. Room draw starts at the beginning of May, so that’s when we decide where we live.

Now that it’s getting warmer out, I have noticed how green campus has gotten and how much people have been going outside and enjoying as much of the nice weather as they can. Every day on the library lawn there are people playing sports, doing homework, or just relaxing. It’s really a nice thing to see on campus because it gives a lot of life to campus. But the warm weather also makes it hard to do homework so I try to avoid doing homework where I can see outside so I can resist the temptation of getting up and going outside. These next couple weeks are going to be filled with tests and papers to do before my finals. I hope I can do it. I really want to finish this semester strong, but I seem to be on the right track so hopefully I can keep it up.

I hope everyone is having a great Monday/week! Peace, Mario
