ready for break

Hey guys, Here’s another update from j-term. This month has gone by so fast. I only have 3 days left until break and I can honestly say I can’t wait to get home. Although I’m not as busy as I am during the semester, I feel like I’m sleeping less and doing a lot more work than first semester. Maybe because it’s all condensed into a month. It might also be because I’m now working for custodial services rather than dining. So that means I have to wake up at 6 am every day to go clean Sampson Hoffland instead of 10:30 like I would normally do if I didn’t have to work. Waking up early is possibly the only downside to working for custodial.

The dorms have put on a lot of different activities to keep people from being bored. There have been movies nights, game nights, open mic nights, and just random little events like “learn how to do the Thriller dance” on a Thursday night at 11. Overall it’s been a good J-term and I have learned a lot about explosions (rather than actually making them happen). For next year, I think I’m going to explore the options for traveling abroad. I’m thinking New Zealand, Europe, or South Africa. So I’ll have to convince my parents to let me go.

I’m looking forward to getting back into the swing of things for second semester. I think I will enjoy my classes and will have an even better semester than my first. I hope all you seniors are getting close to making a decision. Around this time last year I was pretty positive that I was heading to Luther…but of course don’t feel the rush to decide right away. Make sure you know it’s the right fit…completely. Plus you don’t have to decide until May 1st.

Look forward to an update over break. Mario
