Sean Kingston

Sean Kingston

November 15, 2009

Hey Readers! Let me tell you that Sean Kingston and the New Boyz were freaking insane! The concert was so much fun. All the performers did a really good job and I am so happy that I got to see them. All weekend the campus was filled with people visiting. A bunch of my friends had friends visit them on campus just to go to the concert. The caf was full and everyone just seemed to be busy...all the time.

On another note, I’d like to talk about keeping in contact with your parents while you’re at college. To put it simply, I suck at doing this. I maybe call once a week if that. My parents are beginning to freak out. Half the time they don’t even know what’s going on in my life or if I’m even alive. I guess it doesn’t help that I usually only call them when I need something (quarters, food, money, etc.) So my tip for all you freshmen next year is to make sure you at least call once a week or stay in contact. HOWEVER, don’t call everyday…that seems a bit excessive. Give yourself a chance to live on your own a bit. I told myself that I would email weekly too, of course that didn’t happen. I get so caught up in the college life that I just forget the small things. It’s something I want to work on.I’ve come to realize that I miss the little things at home like having my mom do my laundry, and having food in my house. It’s a shocker how easy life is when you’re at home. I definitely will have all my laundry for my mother to do and I can’t wait for a home cooked meal. Thanksgiving dinner is going to be delicious.

As far as this upcoming week I am expecting a pretty busy one with lots of studying and reading to do. I get to register for classes on Tuesday so I’m pretty excited for that. Hopefully I get the classes I want. Well, Paideia calls once again.
