Hey Guys! It was an extremely long week. There was lots of Paideia homework, and there is a Paideia paper due tomorrow. It’s been a busy but fun weekend though! I hung out with my friends and just had a relaxing weekend.
The weather this weekend was amazing. I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt the whole time. It was really nice to just be outside and enjoy the nice weather before the snow comes. We watched movies, went to Wal-Mart, frolfed (Frisbee golf, Luther has it’s own course), and even watched the girls play with chalk this morning. It was really nice because I didn't have to spend any money but I still had a ton of fun.
I can just tell this week is going to be long, but on Friday it’s going to be awesome. For those of you that don’t know, Sean Kingston is coming to Luther! It’s going to be a lot of fun. I can’t wait. I’ve been waiting for November 13th to come since I heard that our fall concert was Sean Kingston.
Speaking of concerts, I am on the Student Activities Committee: Concerts, which means I have somewhat of an opinion on who Luther has come for concerts. This spring there are a ton of different options ranging from Motion City Soundtrack to Brother Alli, to Owl City (the majority’s favorite). SAC Concerts is just another way for me to get involved on campus and meet some new people.
Also, some friends and I officially signed up for the Habitat For Humanity trip to Mississippi for spring break. It’s going to be a lot of fun I think. We get to stay 10 minutes away from the beach and go to New Orleans. Plus we get to give back to families in need. It will be a great experience especially since I’ve never been to the South.
Other than that things have been pretty much the same. I love Luther, I love the friends I have here, and I love being here. There isn’t a time that I am walking that I don’t see anyone that I know. It is truly a unique community here. Everyone is really friendly and open to meeting new people and trying new things. I have already met a ton of new people this year and I can’t wait to meet more.
Well I have to finish my Paideia paper so I better get going.
Until next time guys!
