The Right Fit

Hey readers!! Wow!!! What a weekend!!! It was homecoming here at Luther College and it was completely packed with alumni this weekend!!!!

My Saturday started by going to the parade and seeing the different floats. Ylvisaker’s float was pretty coo l-- we had a Mario Kart theme since the Homecoming theme was “Mario Party”. We had some people dress up as Peach and Mario!! It was a great time. It was cool to see the Luther Spirit everywhere on campus! It was nice to see all the alumni come back and talk about what they did during their freshman years.

I realized that I have been at school for a month now -- and blogging for about the same -- and I have yet to talk about my classes. So I’ll give you a quick overview. This semester I’m taking 14 credits (3 being PE credits) so my course load seems pretty easy. I have Calc 1, Paideia, and Spanish. Although it seems like taking only 3 classes appears easy, it can be a lot of work. The thing you have to consider is that there is a lot more outside of the classroom learning than in the class (at least from what I have experienced so far). I have my 3 core classes 3 times a week for an hour. This is completely different from what I had in high school (4 classes, 5 days a week for an hour and a half). I feel like now that I am getting adjusted to actually reading my text book (yes, that’s why we buy them) and using my resources around me I can tackle more than 14 credits, but I think this was a good starting load for my first semester. It will be interesting to see how many I attempt to tackle second semester!

On a side note, I can tell school is definitely wearing down on my friends and I. We all need fall break!!! It will be nice to see my family since I have not seen them in a couple weeks too. But I better get going, time for class! Remember feel free to ask me any questions or add me on facebook. I’m a friendly guy!

Until next time,
