Extracurricular activities: Captain of Luther's women's soccer team, studied abroad in Peru for a January Term, intern at Winneshiek Medical Hospital, active participant in all intramural activities (volleyball especially), coaching and participating in growing the Decorah soccer program, and Habitat for Humanity

Maggie feels that her time at Luther has allowed her to grow significantly as a student as as a person. "Everyone has always told me that going to college will help mold you into the person you are going to be and if that is true I couldn't be more pleased with the person Luther has taught me to be."

She believes the rigorous coursework combined with the compassionate and helpful professors have helped her attain an abundance of knowledge and life skills that will be extremely helpful in the future. She says, "My studies have always come first but at Luther the professors really help you to be successful both in and out the of the classroom."

Her study abroad experience has helped her become a more savvy traveler and helped her have a heightened sense of social awareness. "Plus, the volunteer opportunities here have helped my fellow classmates and me give back to our community."
