Located in the small northeast Iowa town of Decorah, Luther College is an undergraduate liberal arts institution of approximately 2,500 students. The college is affiliated with the Lutheran church (ELCA).
Founded in 1861 by Norwegian immigrants, Luther offers more than 60 majors and preprofessional and certificate programs leading to the bachelor of arts degree. The college's 1,000-acre campus provides ample room for student involvement, including 19 intercollegiate athletic squads, over 15 music ensembles, and more than 110 other student organizations and activities.
Luther maintains a residential atmosphere, with more than 90 percent of students living on campus each of their four years.
