This visit opportunity allows prospective students the opportunity to experience January term at Luther College. January term is a semester unlike any other, as it alters the pace of the academic year by creating opportunities for students to engage in focused exploration of a single subject. January study is often experiential and/or experimental, and it offers students both greater freedom and greater responsibility for their learning.
High School Seniors may arrive on Sunday to take part in indoor or outdoor activities such as snowshoeing, hiking, basketball, rock climbing, card and board games, or socializing while watching the NFL playoffs.
Activities on Monday will introduce students to the academic facets of the January Term experience: on-campus study, study abroad programs, internships, and research experiences. Interaction with current students and class visits are included in the schedule. First time visitors are encouraged to extend their time on campus in order to tour campus and/or attend an Introduction to Luther session.
The registration deadline for January Term: A Luther Experience is Wednesday, January 16.
