Majors & Minors
Luther College offers more than 60 majors, minors, and preprofessional programs leading to the bachelor of arts degree (B.A.).
The curriculum has been established to provide the utmost flexibility, to make sure that when students graduate they are prepared for any number of careers. In today's changing world, Luther strives to ensure graduating seniors have options, as well as the ability to be successful in areas that fall outside their academic field.
About one-third of a student's coursework at Luther falls within a designated major, one-third comprises required courses, and one-third opens options for electives or a second major. A student may also develop an individualized interdisciplinary major, working with the related departments and the registrar.
