Library & Information Services
Luther's LIS (Library and Information Services) organization provides a vast collection of learning resources and sophisticated technology tools that help students succeed academically and prepare for their role in an increasingly information-based world.
LIS's assets and services range from research databases, books and periodicals, audio and video recordings, and high-speed connections to the local campus network and Internet. LIS provides the necessary information and technology to help students get a great education.
Facilities
Preus Library is the main facility where most LIS staff, services, and resources are located.
The building has three floors that are accessible to the public. The main entrance is located on the second floor. The second floor serves as the hub of the library, housing many of the library's resources and services, including the Technology Help Desk.
Most of the books and periodicals are shelved on the upper and lower levels. All three floors have open study areas that can be used by individuals or groups. Also, private individual and group study rooms are available on each floor.
Website
The LIS website (http://lis.luther.edu) contains a wide variety of information regarding the services and resources that are available to support the campus community.
