michael trice, October 31-november 2, 2007

 

Michael Reid Trice is the Associate Executive for Ecumenical and Inter-Religious Relations for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Michael’s portfolio includes hermeneutic consideration of the current status of ecumenical affairs. He is responsible for overseeing the reception and implementation of ecumenical developments within the ELCA and its ecumenical and interfaith partners in the United States and around the globe. He serves on the Faith and Order Commission for the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the U.S.A., and participates on the Lutheran-Moravian Coordinating Committee and other ecumenical bodies. Michael earned a M.T.S. from Duke Divinity School and a M.Th. from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. He recently completed his dissertation at Loyola University in Chicago, in an exchange program with the Evangelische Fakultät at Ludwig-Maximillian-University in Munich, Germany. Michael has also studied at the Institute for Theology and Peace in Hamburg, Germany.
