Prior to her current position, Negstad was Vice President for Finance and Administration at Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service and served for five years as Comptroller at Lutheran World Relief. Negstad's other professional experiences include relief and development work with Church World Service in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. During her time in Cambodia, Negstad served first as Finance and Administration Manager in 1994 and then as Advisor on Credit Programs until 1997. From 1989-1992, Negstad worked as Resource Coordinator for the Southeast Asian Resource Action Center, Washington, D.C. Negstad's educational background includes an MBA from Yale University School of Management and a bachelor's degree from Luther College. She likes to travel to many places around the world (Africa, South America, and Asia) and spends her free time doing outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and backpacking.
