asset mapping for stewardship, saturday, october 23, 2004

Is money tight at your church? These days many congregations are taking a new look at stewardship and development. Some congregations have found asset mapping for stewardship to be helpful, building on the assets of the congregation to get things done

Asset mapping is not a new system or theory. It's a way of thinking, an "open-sum" perspective rooted in the Bible and common experience.

This workshop is free of charge to all participants. Participants will receive a complimentary book on the subject of Asset Mapping.

This workshop for congregational leaders, both lay and clergy, shows leaders how to help a group recognize its assets and to act on those gifts in ministry and mission. Participants will participate in as Asset Mapping Experience that can be carried to congregations or other groups to assist congregations in opening themselves to the unexpected gifts of God.

A portion of the workshop will apply Asset Mapping principles using the Luther College Round Table Services facility, a powerful high technology setting designed for group processing and decision-making.
