Recent alumni vocation retreat, june 3-5, 2005

Recent alumni involved in church ministry are invited back to campus to reflect on the Luther College experience and the journey since graduation. Alumni groups met in June of 2002 and 2004 for an opportunity to discuss what features of the Luther experience helped them to reflect about careers, work, the church and church ministry. What changes could be made to help current students reflect in a serious way on vocation? How might Luther College be helpful to it graduates, especially those who are working to discern their call to ministry?

Rev. Jonathan Strandjord '74, Director for Theological Education, Division for Ministry for the ELCA in Chicago, facilitated the first two alumni retreats. He will be joined in 2005 by his wife, Rev. Jeanette Strandjord, pastor of Williams Bay Lutheran Church in Williams Bay, WI.
