As an interdisciplinary initiative, the women's and gender studies program incorporates classrooms and faculty across campus.

The program also benefits from the existence of the Women's Center, located in the Peace and Justice House on High Street on the east side of campus.

In the collective interest of the women of Luther College and the Decorah community, the center provides an environment that enriches the academic, social, physical, and spiritual well-being of area women, as well as recognizes the unique and powerful role of women in modern society.

Working hand-in-hand with campus concerns groups, the Women's Center is committed to social justice and the promotion of diversity through programming and activities.

The center is open Monday-Thursday from 4-6 p.m. and Friday 5-7 p.m..
