Overview
Preveterinary medicine is a program of interdisciplinary emphasis, not a major. Students interested in entering veterinary school typically major in the sciences as undergraduates, but they are free to declare virtually any major on campus, provided they complete the coursework to prepare for veterinary school admittance.
This sample curriculum represents coursework expected by many leading veterinary programs, including those at Iowa State University, the University of Illinois, the University of Minnesota, and the University of Wisconsin. Luther students may plan a preveterinary program that meets the requirements of any professional school.
